He would've been there making you laugh. But he isn't. I know you're sad, and you're still in shock of losing someone so dear. And I'm truly terrible sorry for your loss. But honestly, speaking from experience, Derek wouldn't want you to be sitting here all sad. You have to move on. Derek's time on the earth is over and NOTHING can bring him back. Please, I know you miss him. Don't waste time on the dead, Cherish your life more because you're still alive. Prayers to you. xx
It’s not fair. My friends life was taken from him. There are stories I’ll never get to tell him now, memories I’ll never get to make with him, and many other people feel the same. It’s not something I’m going to get over.

Losing someone dear and close to your heart is never easy, especially at such a young age. All you can do is smile and remember the memories you had together. Live your life to the fullest as if he was right by your side. You're not alone. He'll guide you through this<3 Chin up.
